MAN'S COEXISTENCE WITH GOD

Christ Jesus said (John 10: 30), "I and my Father are one." What a wonderful fact is brought out by this statement. God and man coexistent! Life and man coexistent! And man spiritual and perfect as the Father's son!

Since in our true being we coexist with perfect Life and have never had any knowledge of anything unlike perfect Life, we cannot in reality be sick or die. The realization of this will dispel instantly any claim of sickness. Man is coexistent with Spirit; so the real man has only spiritual qualities. He is aware only of the things of Spirit; he is sinless. The understanding of this lifts us above belief in sin. False qualities disappear as we see man as coexistent with the one Mind, divine Love, the source of intelligence and goodness.

The mighty power of the realization of man's coexistence with God is shown in the following healing. A woman who was undergoing great suffering as the result of a growth—apparently a tumor— turned to Christian Science for healing. The healing did not take place until quite a long period of time had elapsed. However, in spite of discouragement and the effort on the part of a member of her family to get her to consent to an operation, she persisted in her effort to realize the truths of spiritual being.
