"SAIL ON AND ON!"
[Of Special Interest to Children]
For several weeks prior to October 12, Jon had been gaily singing the words of a song regarding Columbus which he had learned in the second grade at school. The words went something like this:
"The wind blew cold; the waves grew high.
No friendly star was in the sky.
'Turn back! Turn back!' the sailors pled.
'Sail on and on!' Columbus said."
