In the Bible is this statement (Rev. 3:20): "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." I am humbly grateful for having heard this voice of the Christ, Truth, when I greatly needed help. The physicians had pronounced my difficulty to be heart trouble and high blood pressure. Also there was a sense of mental depression and a lack of supply. The discordant physical condition had gone on for many months; it was a distressing and frightening thing. I was greatly discouraged, for medical aid had not helped at all.

At this time Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was given to me. After reading some of it and finding my thought lifted thereby, I was led to get in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, who helped me to rise above the mist of materiality and to gain a glimpse of my true selfhood as the child of God, a spiritual idea. This understanding unfolded gradually, as many false traits of character needed to be erased by the truth. A clearer understanding of God and of man in His likeness was gained, and then the healing was accomplished.

Words cannot express the gratitude in my heart for Christian Science, the wonderful revelation of God's allness given us by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. For membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for class instruction, I am very grateful.— (Mrs.) Laura Popple, Detroit, Michigan.
