I wish to express my profound gratitude to God for Christian Science, through which I obtained my healing of a nervous illness from which I had suffered for fifteen years. I had tried various remedies, but they brought only temporary relief and left me very much discouraged. I was in an alarming state when I found Christian Science. My fears were such that I thought a normal life would be impossible for me.

For several months the ninety-first Psalm and "The Mother's Evening Prayer" by Mary Baker Eddy (Poems, pp. 4, 5) were constantly on my lips. I was in business, and I never stopped my work, even during the most difficult times. With the help of a practitioner I at last gained my freedom. Looking back at that period of trial, I realize that much change took place in me as I acquired more courage and peace each day.
