For our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and the Discoverer and rounder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, I acknowledge my profound gratitude to God. The testimony meetings held in Churches of Christ, Scientist, are spiritual feasts to me, and the testimonies published in the Christian Science periodicals get my joyous attention. I read each one. With the deepest appreciation of these channels of Love, I submit my expression of gratitude to God for directing me to Christian Science.

My first experience at a Sunday service in a branch church was one of awe and exaltation. The Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly made me realize that the truth our Master taught is being demonstrated today. I began to study and apply to daily experiences the holy Word. Soon I was accepted for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, which is indeed a precious privilege.

On page 494 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." When my husband passed on, it became necessary to make a change in my home. I studied to know that home is in consciousness, as a practitioner helped to make clear to me, and to know too that God would reveal the path for me to take for the support of my two daughters, who were small children at the time. The comforting presence of the Christ, Truth, was made manifest in accordance with Christ Jesus' promise (Matt. 28:20), "I am with you alway," for a home was provided and a means of livelihood made plain.
