Christian Science came to our family shortly after we had our first child. We learned that our neighbors, who expressed a great degree of happiness and success, were Christian Scientists and attended a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. They appeared to have found a better way to live than we had. When my wife confided to them that we were having constant medical treatment for our baby and that nothing agreed with him, they assured us that Christian Science treatment never fails when properly applied. We were ready to give it a fair trial, and when we did, the baby immediately showed improvement and was soon all right.

We began to attend the same church our neighbors did and found that, as our new friends had said, we had made the most important and far-reaching decision of our lives. In the years that have followed, there have been constant proofs of God's care.

I should like to mention two other healings that stand out in our experience. When our baby daughter was suffering from what appeared to be food poisoning, we had considerable fear in our thought. I remember that at one point, while I was on the way to the office of the practitioner who was helping us, I was fearful and doubtful. However, after a brief talk with the practitioner my fear vanished, and I was sure that we were on the right path. Very shortly thereafter the child began to improve and was soon normal again.
