With gratitude and humility I can say that I have truly felt the touch of the Christ, Truth. I have been a student of Christian Science for more than twenty years and have relied upon it wholly for healing and for solving all the problems that have come to me in raising our four boys.

About four years ago I was suddenly seized with severe spasms and pains in my stomach. These were followed by days of complete physical exhaustion, and I spent most of the time in bed. I sought help from a Christian Science practitioner and received immediate relief, but the spasms returned. The condition became chronic; and though the attacks came farther apart, they continued to return. I became greatly discouraged. I had a large family and felt that I was needed. My fear was great, and I had a dread of hearing the names of diseases which were widespread in the newspapers and magazines of the day. Also I feared that I would not be able to finish raising our family.

Although I had been very active in a number of civic and welfare organizations, I gave all these up, realizing that the most important work I had to do was to make my demonstration of God's power to heal. I devoted all my time to the earnest study of Christian Science, to church work, and to my home, resolving to work out my problem through Christian Science. In this way I learned more about God and my relation to Him, greatly speeding my progress. I am grateful for the support received from my husband and sons, who were steadfast in holding to the truth.
