Church Dedications

Teaneck Sunday Sun

Teaneck, New Jersey (First Church).

Dedication services will be held at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1075 Queen Anne Road, Teaneck, next Sunday at 11 a.m and at 3 and 5 p.m. The services will mark an important step in the progress of the church, which was established five years ago.

A brief history of the church will be read. The church is the outgrowth of meetings held by a group of Christian Scientists in Teaneck during the spring and summer of 1948. In October of that year Sunday services, Sunday School, and Wednesday evening testimony meetings were held when School No. 3, at Elm Avenue and North Street, was made available through the courtesy of the Board of Education. The group was formally recognized in January, 1949, by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, as Christian Science Society, Teaneck.
