News Regarding Radio Series "How Christian Science Heals"

Response to the new transcribed radio series "How Christian Science Heals" has included thousands of letters from listeners in the United States and countries overseas. The comments have been extremely favorable.

By far a majority of the requests for the booklet "Effective Prayer," offered on the programs, are coming from those who know very little of Christian Science. Often their letters indicate a need for healing. Even though the programs are designed primarily to introduce Christian Science, many Christian Scientists have written of the inspiration and help they are receiving.

There is every indication, from the volume and contents of letters, that the series is winning a large regular audience. Regular listening is being encouraged through local newspaper advertising by branches of The Mother Church and through the announcement at the end of each program of the topic for the next week. Also it is felt that the format of the programs, each of which features a narrative of Christian Science healing told by the person who experienced it, naturally encourages the spontaneous word-of-mouth advertising so effective in adding new listeners. Many Christian Scientists have written that they are encouraging non-Scientist friends to tune in.
