THE TESTING TIME

If I can see, when fear would dim my thought,
One tender glance or hear one word of hope
That brings to mind the good that God has wrought
In man, His likeness, I no longer grope
Through mist and darkness over rugged ground.
For in this place where now I stand are found
The thoughts I need—and I am not alone.
With Love the test becomes a steppingstone.
