In our family of four children we have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. It has met our every need for over fourteen years. We have had very few of the so-called children's diseases to meet, and those which have presented themselves have usually been quickly overcome at their first appearance without spreading to any of the other children. It surely has been a great comfort to know that, since God is All, nothing can be contagious but good.

At one time our family was in dire financial straits, and a large sum of money was needed to repay a financial obligation. We could see no way to obtain the necessary amount. I had been working to realize the present availability of God's law of abundance but had seen no result from this work. One morning I realized that because the need was acute it was right for it to be met immediately, since there is no delay in God's law. I also realized that our need was not to have more money, but to draw closer to God in order to hear His message. I decided to devote the entire day, and more if need be, to studying the truth and to listening to God.

As I worked I was filled with joy and expectancy. It became clear that a suggestion of lack of finances is not essentially different from the suggestion of lack of health, joy, or any other good quality; so it should be handled in the same way. In God's sight there is only abundance. I rejoiced in the Biblical promise (Phil. 4:19), "My God shall supply all your need."
