REGENERATION THROUGH RIGHT GIVING
To the newcomer to Christian Science, regeneration may seem to be a difficult process. Healing? Yes, that is desired. But regeneration? That sounds rather complicated. However, when regeneration is put in terms of giving aright, its basic simplicity appears. When the individual determines to give more time to demonstrating the truth of being, his real manhood and womanhood, he is at the threshold of regeneration. As he succeeds in putting God first in his life, devoting more and more of his time to utilizing the liberating truth, his thinking naturally becomes more God-filled, more pure.
Thus, as the understanding of perfect God and perfect man is born in his consciousness, and the all-powerful Principle is brought to bear upon his human affairs, the individual grows in grace, in intelligence, in integrity, in true beauty. This growth is regeneration. Merely giving more time to think better of ourselves is not the full healing, regenerative process as we understand it in Christian Science. Only as the individual, out of a heart filled with love and gratitude, gives of his time to demonstrate what he knows of God's power does he find true regeneration.
During a healing, regenerative experience a young Christian Scientist awoke to new opportunities for progress. He perceived that in real being, man, the loved of Love, is continuously receiving good from his Father-Mother God. God giving and man receiving is the normal, constant cycle in the economy of perfection. The flow of God's ideas never ebbs; the supply for the son always is bountiful. Man is never depressed or in a depression. God's kingdom is filled with a prosperity which never fails, for this harmony stems from the unlimited source of divine Love.
