As I have been helped and guided by Christian Science since early childhood, it is right that I should acknowledge some of the benefits which I have received through its loving ministrations.

In the Christian Science Sunday School I learned that if one builds his house—that is, his consciousness, or mental home—upon the sands of materialism, it will not stand against the storm. I learned too that consistent study and application of the truths of Christian Science is the only way to build this house upon the rock of Truth, to build a consciousness strong enough in faith and spiritual understanding to withstand the storms of material living with its attendant false beliefs.

Since my marriage and the subsequent establishment of a home there have been many tests of our faith in God and of our absolute reliance on Christian Science. It has been wonderfully proved for our family that "with God all things are possible" (Mark 10: 27). At a time when we were badly in need of a permanent home and when both labor and materials were at a premium we were able to build a house. We are grateful for the assistance of a kind practitioner, who helped us to establish our true sense of home in Mind, already furnished with Love's ideas.
