FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Making Christian Science Better Known

Oklahoma

This office has received many clippings containing reprints from The Christian Science Monitor. For instance, we know of one hundred and twenty-six such reprints. In sixty-four other articles there were quotations from the Monitor, and in all of these favorable mention was made. There have been six religious articles reprinted, and one letter from the editor of the Monitor stating the paper's stand on socialized medicine. In addition to these we had excellent coverage of our Annual Meeting in Boston. There have been articles about our Reading Rooms, as well as items about our Thanksgiving services. Also, mention was made of the air-conditioning of our church edifices for summer comfort. There was much lecture publicity, together with reports of lectures.

One of the chief contacts with the press is our plan to give the Monitor in exchange for advertising. We now have one hundred and thirty-six papers in the state on this plan. We find that the editors of these papers read our paper and are liberal in complimenting it.
