When Christian Science was brought to my attention, it was at a time of great need. I had been sick and discouraged for many years; three periods spent in hospitals were to no avail.

The reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, resulted in immediate healings of ulcers of the stomach, colitis, nervous stomach, and disorders of other organs. All these difficulties were of many years' standing. I never really knew just when the healings took place, but I was suddenly aware only of complete freedom. Health, harmony, joy, and regeneration followed fast in the wake of spiritualization of thought; and I knew that the Christ, Truth, was operating.

I experienced a healing of abscessed breasts through complete reliance on Christian Science. It was uncovered that a belief in the reality of another's sad experience had been held in my thought and feared.
