I have been a student of Christian Science for many years. I attended the Christian Science Sunday School and served in various capacities in a Christian Science Organization while in college. I am increasingly grateful for this wonderful background of Science, since the truths I have learned I use in my everyday life.

Not long ago our little boy became feverish, refused all food, and became listless. I was fearful, and at the request of my husband a practitioner was called. The condition, however, appeared to grow much worse. We persisted in know ing that the child was, in reality, God's idea, and that he was in Love's care. We understood that fever was fear expressed, and so we worked to clear our thought of all fear, indeed to understand that we could have but one Mind, God. The child's temperature subsided, and he began to play again. Within three days he was completely normal.

Over a period of two or three years I suffered occasional abdominal pains. One evening the attack was so severe that it seemed a practitioner's help was urgently needed. Again it was my fear that had to be dealt with. The difficulty disappeared when I understood that I must not look to matter to be healed, because man in God's image and likeness does not, and can never, depart from his perfect spiritual state. In less than two hours I was completely free and able to care for our two children without difficulty. There has been no return of the complaint.
