There is a path that no bird knows,And that the vulture as it soars     In swift-winged flight has never seen;     Where lions' whelps have never been;Where the fierce lion never goes.

Through hidden peril, warring foes,Through fire and flame, through all the woesThat darkened mortal sense may bring,                                        There is a path.
