THERE IS A PATH

(Job 28:7, 8)

There is a path that no bird knows,
And that the vulture as it soars
     In swift-winged flight has never seen;
     Where lions' whelps have never been;
Where the fierce lion never goes.

Through hidden peril, warring foes,
Through fire and flame, through all the woes
That darkened mortal sense may bring,
                                        There is a path.

Love is the way—the love that knows
God's ever-presence and that shows
     All things that cruel and evil seem
     Are but the dreamings of a dream.
Walk fearlessly. Love will disclose
                                        There is a path.
