A WORD FITLY SPOKEN
(Proverbs 25:11)
I seek
the word with healing fraught,
To lift the heart and light the eye;
Still it eludes my troubled thought.
"I am not eloquent," I cry.
But as of old to prophet slow
Of speech the firm assurance came,
"I will be with thy mouth," I know
That divine promise I may claim.
And as I turn to Him I find
The Word revealed in setting rare—
The silver pictures of that Mind.
I pluck the golden apples there.
