LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION
Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada Nanaimo Free Press
A correspondent . . . raises a point regarding the position of the Christian Science church and the British Columbia Hospital Insurance Act which appears to call for some clarification. Your courtesy in granting space, for this purpose will be very deeply appreciated.
The Christian Science church teaches absolute reliance upon Spirit. God, for maintenance of health and the healing of all human ailments. Among the pertinent teachings of this church is the following from our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the. Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science (p. 167): "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power lie realized."
