I wish to express my gratitude for...

I wish to express my gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science. from early youth I was a student of philosophy and many other sciences, and finally I took up the professional practice of psychology. My chief interest in these studies was a basic desire to discover the way to avoid the misery of life, which I saw around about me. I was brought up in an orthodox faith, but its teachings failed to satisfy my inquiries.

When I read the chapter entitled "Genesis" in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was amazed and awed. From that moment I felt sure that in Christian Science I would find what I was seeking. This Science of being has proved to be a satisfying study, and I have learned that in proportion to our realization of man's relationship to God we are freed from material bondage and that this realization comes with increasing power as we devote ourselves to understanding more of God.

During my study of this Science I have been encouraged and upheld by much fruitage. I have been released from the bondage of wearing spectacles and surgical boots, both of which I had worn for many years, and by knowing the truth I have on many occasions been protected from serious consequences in motoring mishaps. As a family we have several times been protected from so-called contagious diseases and have had healings of erysipelas, duodenal ulcer, severe influenza, boils, strained and twisted muscles, headaches, and burns. At a time when houses and business premises seemed impossible to get, twice we were provided with necessary accommodation.
