The blessings I have received...

The blessings I have received through Christian Science have been so many it would be almost impossible to recount them all.

When our son was an infant he developed bronchial pneumonia. I was just a young mother and at first did not realize how seriously ill the child was. On the recommendation of the loving practitioner who was working for him, a Christian Science nurse was engaged. However, it was not necessary for her to be with us very long, because by the next morning the baby was almost well. The nurse, who had been a medical nurse before becoming interested in Christian Science, later told the practitioner that this was one of the most remarkable healings she had ever witnessed, for to mortal sense the child was in a most critical state.

The baby continued to grow strong and was well except for very heavy breathing. Work in Christian Science was continued, but the condition did not yield. Then one day the thought came very clearly to me that if God is good, and God is omnipresent, then good is also omnipresent and there is no place where good is not. Later in the day I found that the child was breathing normally. There just are no words to express the joy and gratitude that filled my heart. This healing has been permanent.

At another time our daughter developed an ugly infection at the corner of one of her eyes. When the condition did not yield through our own work in Christian Science, we decided to call a practitioner. As I turned away from the telephone the little girl called to me excitedly. The infection had broken as though it had been lanced; it drained by itself and carried away the core of the infection. In a short time the eye was completely healed, leaving no scar of any kind.

Severe colds, influenza, measles, mumps, scarlet fever, athlete's foot, and numerous other discordant conditions have yielded very quickly to the power of Truth; also lost articles have been recovered.

For the spiritual illumination and the many blessings class instruction has brought me, I am also most grateful. A visit to The Mother Church and the Christian Science Publishing House filled both my husband and me with a wonderful sense of belonging to this worldwide movement, which is blessing and bringing" healing to mankind. The trip intensified my great gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her great spiritual vision and the indefatigable courage and labor she displayed in giving Christian Science to the world.—(Mrs.) Elinor M. Coyle, St. Louis, Missouri.
