I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and for the many blessings it has brought into my life. My first healing was of tuberculosis over forty-eight years ago. I was so ill at that time that the doctors told my sister, who was caring for me, that I might pass on at any time. They advised her to call my mother, and it was then that my brother, who was a student of Christian Science, asked to be allowed to have treatment for me from a Christian Science practitioner. This permission was granted, and the practitioner came to see me.

I had not been able to eat a normal meal for over two years and had lost much weight. Treatment was begun, and I was told that I could eat what was set before me. I got up and ate a meal with my family that same day. This was on a Wednesday, and the practitioner asked me to attend the testimony meeting that evening. I told her that that was too much to expect, for it was many months since I had been out of the house. She asked my sister to take me, and she did. I walked five blocks to church, and the practitioner was there to meet us. A complete healing soon followed, and it has been permanent. For many years after that I never missed a church service or a Christian Science lecture.

I have also been healed of osteomyelitis, a slight stroke, and a stomach disorder; the last-mentioned healing took place at a Christian Science lecture. Christian Science was of great comfort to me when a dear one passed on.
