I have been a student of Christian Science for over twenty-six years and have received many wonderful healings and benefits.

Years prior to our first healing I had read testimonies in the Sentinel which I had taken from a Christian Science literature box at a railroad station on my way to town. I do not remember ever reading an article, but would think how wonderful the testimonies were.

My oldest daughter, when a child of six months, had asthma, and I was told she must outgrow this condition, which would take at least fourteen years. A friend who was not a Scientist, but who had witnessed a healing, suggested that I try Christian Science. Immediately my thought went back to the testimonies of healing I had read years before. How little did I realize that the seed of Truth was being planted by our missionaries—our periodicals—at the time I read those testimonies. I called a practitioner, and our daughter was instantaneously healed. I shall never forget that day. Outside it was cold and dark, but my home was filled with light. It was the Christ manifested in my consciousness.
