GOD'S CHILD IS A GOOD CHILD

A YOUNG mother of three small children was confronted with a grave problem. One of the children had been labeled a problem child by his teacher at school, by his playmates, and by the members of his own family. "He will not co-operate; he will not do anything he is asked to do," was the constant complaint.

The mother was a student of Christian Science, but as yet she was far from realizing that in Christian Science, which was discovered by Mary Baker Eddy and recorded by her in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," lay the answer to all her problems, regardless of name or nature. She was then resorting to the ordinary methods of discipline. The child was pleaded with and deprived of certain privileges when he did not obey her wishes, but to no avail.

Earnest and sincere in her desire to learn more of God, she spent many hours daily in the study of this Science. One day, after a very discordant situation in which the child was involved, she cried out in desperation, "Dear God, show me what to do about this situation."
