Christian Science Committees on Publication Report FRIENDLY RELATIONS WITH THE PRESS
[From annual reports]
Ayrshire, Scotland
In spite of the lack of newsprint nine newspapers in the county have carried items issued from this office, consisting of Lesson-Sermon excerpts, Gems of Thought, reports of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, local Thanksgiving services, and the Ayr lecture.
The following is an extract from the Troon and Prestwick Times under the heading "One of the Best Journals": "Boston publishes The Christian Science Monitor, really one of the best journals anywhere. All crimes, scandals, divorces, are given a bare mention. Its coverage of news is world wide and its pervasive influence decidedly healthy." New Jersey
