With a consciousness filled with sincere gratitude, I wish to give proof of the healing power of Christian Science as taught by Mrs. Eddy. Patiently and persistently I have studied the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly each day and read our Christian Science literature.

I have had a healing of false responsibility while helping individuals in need. After I had given the necessary human assistance, it had been a problem for me to leave them entirely in God's care and to realize that we are all God-guided, God-governed, God-directed, God-sustained, and God-protected. I have made the demonstration of home, and now I have peace and quiet to study without disturbing interruptions. Friends told me they had not expected my marriage to last. Through the application of Christian Science, a happy home has unfolded, with companionship and protection. Through spiritual alertness my husband obtained a better place in his work by submiting a bid which he won fairly through seniority.

Several years ago, over a period of time I spasmodically suffered from a severe pain in my side. One morning when I arose, the pain was so intense that I thought I was going to faint, but in my consciousness were the comforting words of one of our hymns (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 53),
