Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Patchogue Advance
PATCHOGUE, NEW YORK (First Church).
The dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Patchogue, took place Sunday at the regular morning service, which was repeated in the afternoon. The church auditorium was filled to capacity, and the simple announcement from the rostrum was a source of deep satisfaction to the members of the church, who have worked so loyally to achieve this milestone.
The church, though small, is one of the most artistic houses of wor ship on Long Island and is one of Patchogue's outstanding assets. It stands as a tribute to the small group of devoted people who originally determined that some day Christian Scientists in this community should have their own church.
