For over thirty years I have been interested in Christian Science and have been helped in so many ways that this testimony is long overdue. What has appealed to me most has been the practical help which this Science gives in everyday life. I am grateful for the freedom from illness which accompanies the application of its teachings. During the greater part of the thirty years I have taken no medicine and had no medical treatment. On the few occasions when sickness has threatened me, it has been quickly overcome, sometimes through my own work and sometimes through the help of a practitioner.

I take an active part in public work and in general organization, and my knowledge of Christian Science has been a wonderful help in dealing with my fellow men. I am particularly grateful for an experience I had when elected to a leading position in my home town. The previous year had been marked by a serious split, which resulted in most bitter feelings. By seeing only the true nature of man when I took office, I was able to turn opposition into wholehearted support and to build up a team spirit which resulted in a remarkable period of progress and constructive activity.

Science has been of much help in my business experience. Although the path has often been beset with great disappointments and serious problems, in each case the disappointments, met as Christian Science teaches us to meet them, have eventually opened the way to even greater and more satisfactory progress than I had originally anticipated. By doing my best according to the guidance given me and leaving the result in God's hands, I feel assured of the best possible achievements in all my activities.
