My public acknowledgment of the inevitable healing power of Christian Science is long overdue. The divinely inspired truths as set forth in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our forever Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, brought new hope into my life more than thirteen years ago, when there seemed to be nothing but trials and tribulations.

Christian Science was brought to my attention by a dear friend whose healing impressed me very much. Following an operation for a malignant growth, the attending surgeon had told her husband that she could not live more than twenty-four hours. Previous to her illness she had known something of Christian Science. At her request, a practitioner came to see her. Within a few days she was at home, and after several months she resumed her household duties.

Several Years later I returned from a hospital after an operation. It was believed that there were additional complications, similar to those my friend experienced. I was greatly discouraged. About a year later I took up the earnest study of Christian Science, having previously read portions of the textbook only to put it aside believing I could not understand it. I engaged the services of a practitioner and began to attend Science services every Wednesday and Sunday. The textbook became very dear to me, and I spent man hours in study of its healing truths. My health was restored and my courage renewed. My business activities increased.
