I wish to express through the...

I wish to express through the Sentinel my gratitude for the abundant blessings of Christian Science. I began to study earnestly the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and to read the literature much later than a grateful heart would have done. Then a dear relative inquired about the church in the community to which I had recently moved, and I attended the services one Sunday. That service so refreshed my memory of past blessings that I became a regular attendant at the church and in about a year was received into membership. From that time on I have had many privileges of service in two different churches.

Some of the difficulties that I have had the pleasure of discounting as unreal—false—for myself were timidity, resentment, sick headaches, and sprained ankles. A practitioner quickly brought about the healing of adenoids for my son when the school physician had declared that only an operation would give relief and the time had been set for it to take place. I called this consecrated worker for help. The day following, the operation was postponed by the physician. The second day he found to his utter amazement that there was nothing to operate upon.

Other members of my family have been healed of rheumatism, heart overaction, measles, mumps, and various other difficulties. My heart overflows with thankfulness to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her great gift to the world in acquainting mankind with the treasures of the Bible through her marvelous revelation.—(Mrs.) Oro E. Waterman, Fresno, California.
