It is with great joy that I gratefully...

It is with great joy that I gratefully testify to the unfailing guidance of God, good, in human experience, when that guidance is confidently sought according to the teaching of Christian Science.

Some sixteen years ago I became interested in this Science, and the great basic truths which I learned while taking my first steps to the understanding of this religion have ever since influenced my thought and, therefore, my actions. When I first put into practice the little I then understood, I found myself lifted from belief in failure, lack, and broken health into the joy of the certainty of redemption and the possibility of regeneration. The business in which I was then engaged also was lifted from poverty to prosperity as a result of my changed outlook.

Following the recent war years, during which we experienced divine protection through all the air raids upon London, where we then lived, my wife and I were led to come to this country. For one year following our arrival we experienced difficulty in finding the remunerative employment necessary for our human needs and in harmony with our ideas. During all this time we held to our faith in God as omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient good and prayed for guidance to learn His plan for us. It was when our slender material resources were almost exhausted that we were guided to be obedient to Mrs. Eddy's instruction to seek the help of an experienced Christian Scientist in finding the solution of a problem which does not readily yield.
