When a lack of adequate housing seems real to us, it is comforting to know that Christian Science is as available and effective in meeting this need as it is in solving all the other problems of human existence. Should belief in a housing shortage be shared by many, this does not make it more formidable or difficult to meet. Man is not limited by or dependent upon outside circumstances, nor does anything exist beyond God's control. Then let us submit ourselves to His ever-beneficent government and trust its harmonious adjustment of whatever seems beyond our control.
Surely, any suggestion of lack or other discord is only a belief in another power than God, or a belief that God, who we are taught is infinite divine Love and includes all good, at times withholds from His children something which is essential to their well-being and happiness. The correction of this erroneous belief is the true remedy for the difficulty.
Our first step should be to pray and work to see our Father as He really is—infinite Life, Love, Principle, Mind. As we work in this way, we shall come to the recognition of His allness and the impossibility of there being anything outside of Him, to the recognition of His infinite goodness and the impossibility of there being any absence or lack of that goodness.
