While employed in munition...

While employed in munition work during the First World War I contracted a serious cough and chest condition which affected my lungs. I was led after attending a Christian Science Wednesday evening testimony meeting to borrow Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After reading and studying this book very carefully for about six weeks, I realized that I was healed, and I experienced a sense of health and strength unknown to me for a long while. I knew at that time that this healing was due to the change of thought that had come to me.

Since then I have been healed of a badly sprained ankle, severe colds which affected my hearing, and a severe sickness from which I seemed to be passing on. For the loving and patient help of practitioners, for the great privilege of class instruction, and for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church I am grateful. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was unselfish enough to give Christian Science to the world.—(Miss) Jessie Griffin, London, England.
