Signs of the Times
Rev. Howard L. Olewiler in a sermonette in the Marion Star, Ohio
There will be just as much peace, good will, and brotherhood on earth as we find in human hearts—no more, no less. Peace, good will, and brotherhood will not drop into our laps overnight, nor will statesmen through paper pledges and paper alliances with other nations bring it to pass. To make peace effective it must be founded and grounded in spiritual life. It means all of us must ... love God and love our neighbor and bend every effort toward understanding one another.
How can we do this apart from Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace? We must have the mind and spirit of Christ.
