It is with deep gratitude that I wish to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

On many occasions Christian Science has healed me very quickly of severe colds. The remark of a colleague bears testimony to this. She once said, "Your colds are of the here-today and gone-tomorrow veriety." I am very grateful for the protection which results when I apply what I know of the truth. On several occasions I had not even a symptom of a cold, though an epidemic was apparent in the office where I was working. I have also been healed of measles in one day and of influenza, an inflammation of the skin, shingles, deafness in one ear, abscesses, and muscular rheumatism; and I have been greatly helped while I was having dental work done. For the loving and unselfish work of the practitioners, I am indeed grateful.

During both my school and my university experience the understanding of God as divine Mind, infinite intelligence, and of man as His reflection was an invaluable help and enabled me to face public examinations with calm and confidence. During the Second World War I was able to overcome fear in air raids. The Scripture says (Isa. 26:3), "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
