I was living in New Zealand when I first found God, "who healeth all thy diseases." After many years of suffering I was reduced to invalidism, and not until I found myself at the end of the road did Christian Science come to my notice and heal me. In three weeks I was spiritually awakened. I saw that only the good is true. To me Christian Science is the greatest thing in the world; it is a religion of Love.

Another healing I should like to mention was of a felon that appeared on my finger. On the third day after it appeared I returned to my apartment earlier than usual to study. Up to this time I had felt no pain, but when I looked at the felon, fear took possession of me, with all the mortal suggestions of blood poisoning and subsequent amputation, and I became terrified. With the acceptance of fear came pain, and I knew I must ask for the help of a practitioner.

My little girl was quietly playing with her toys. I had not moved, but she sensed something was wrong, for she looked up and said, "Pray, Mama, pray; I'll be quiet." The thought came to me, "A little child shall lead them" (Isa. 11:6). Again I prayed, trying to look away from mindless matter to Spirit, to the truth of perfect God and His perfect image, and in a few minutes I knew I was healed. In the middle of the night the felon broke. Three days later there was no sign of the trouble. This experience taught me that fear brings pain, and with the overcoming of fear pain disappears. I am very grateful for this lesson. Other proofs of God's care have been many.
