I want to praise God and express my gratitude for a Christian Science healing.

In the late summer of 1945 my son became very ill. The condition was called trench mouth. We were put in quarantine for about six weeks. During the early days of his illness, when I fed and cared for him, the tears would roll down my cheeks in sympathy for his pain.

Because this condition seemed so very real to me, in a short time I too manifested the same difficulty. The practitioner came to our home several times, and of course we were in constant touch by telephone. Fear of losing our teeth or of their loosening, as predicted by material law, was overcome through the references in the Bible (Ps. 34:20), "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken," and (138:8), "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me." Many references from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy were studied, but none more faithfully than the statement included in her definition of substance on page 468, "Substance is that which is eternal and incapable of discord and decay."
