UNFINISHED BUSINESS
For
parable: Watch young executive.
Reaching his desk alert and debonair,
Take up his letters and proceed to give
Attention to the problems waiting there.
With eye on long-range values, wider field,
He works and weighs and ponders till the gist
Of each unfinished venture lies revealed
And by solution business is dismissed.
Let us with poise as free, with zest as clear,
Take up from off the table and assault
Unfinished business of each pride, each fear,
Each greed, each hate, each temperamental fault,
And serve the Father, who alone supplies
All impetus for onward enterprise.
