It is over twenty year since Christian Science was offered to me as a power to heal my sister, who had been given but a short time to live by the medical profession, as she was suffering from heart trouble. At first I refused it, pointing out that my sister did not just think she was ill—she was ill, as specialists had said. I felt I had already had the very best opinions on this matter. How very foolish I was and how blessed by a loving Father-Mother, who again sent this healing truth my way; and this time I listened.

When this angel message came, my sister had to be wheeled about in a bath chair and could not even dress herself, but she said that she would like to try Christian Science and wanted to know more about it. In view of this I visited a branch church, but was not greatly impressed. However, I invited a member of the church to come and visit my sister to explain to her mere about this "new" religion.

After the first visit of this friend, my sister threw away all medicines and put the brandy bottle on a top shell saving, "I have done with all that." I was not a little afraid as I had been warned by the doctor that unless she was given this medicine every three hours there, would be a collapse. Instead, however, there was marked and steady progress. I borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and commenced reading Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly to my sister. I became so interested that read the textbook through. I shall never forget the joy I received from reading the first chapter, on Prayer. It was indeed a revelation to me. I felt that it had answered all my queries. From that day I attended church services and lectures and felt I could not get enough of this wonderful religion. My sister was able to dispense with the hath chair and attend the services with me. She is now a church member and a class-taught student and has looked after my mother and the home for many years.
