Each day I am increasingly grateful that my parents were students of Christian Science and that I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. As I talk with friends who have not realized the power of this truth to heal all false conditions, I realize how fortunate I have been in not having to conform to medical or man-made laws, for during the past thirty years I have never had to call upon a doctor or take any medicine whatsoever. During these years many minor troubles, such as colds and sunburn poisoning, have appeared, but they have been quickly healed with the application of the truth as taught us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. On occasions when discordant conditions have not yielded quickly, practitioners have helped me to clear my thought of am sense of tear, after which the healings have been quick and permanent.

About three years ago I experienced a healing of an injured spine, which proved conclusively that Christian Science, when honestly and earnestly applied, can and does heal completely and permanently. One day I received a sharp blow on the base of the spine, and for font days the pain was severe, until it got to a stage where I completely lost the use of my legs. I was lifted on to a bed and a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, was given to me. The first words I read were on page 283, "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." I read this passage over many times until the absolute truth of this statement was realized. I could see that divine Mind alone directs all action. I then slept for two hours, after which I was able to rise unaided and walk without either pain or inconvenience. I am grateful to recall that there has been no recurrence of the pain. For this practical proof of the ever-operating power of divine Mind I am extremely grateful.

Through a more spiritual outlook on business mine has continued to progress.
