In heartfelt gratitude to God I offer the following testimony as a proof that the Christ, Truth, heals today as certainly as it did centuries ago.

One day I slipped and fell, striking my forehead and nose so heavily against the edge of a shelf in the pantry that the contents of the shelf fell, and I on top of them. My daughter, finding that the flow of blood from my forehead was continuous, owing to the severance of a vein, called a physician, but as the flow soon stopped, no stitches were necessary. He then examined my arm, found that the bone was broken, and advised an X ray. which was taken. The pictures showed a serious break, and he recommended a bone surgeon, refusing to touch the arm himself.

My decision was then made to abide under God's law, and the physician was notified not to send a specialist. In making this decision, I realized that Mrs. Eddy on page 401 of Science and Health leaves us free to employ a surgeon for the setting of broken bones; but in this instance I felt that too many mortal mind laws would be involved if I turned to materia medica, as I am eighty-eight years old.
