It is with a joyous and grateful...

It is with a joyous and grateful heart that I would express my thanks for the many healings I have received during my study of Christian Science.

About five years ago a large growth which was very unsightly appeared on my head and made it difficult for me to wear a hat. I did much studying, trying to help myself, but as it seemed to get worse, I asked a dear friend to help me. She lovingly consented, and metaphysical work was taken up. I had much wrong thinking to turn out of my consciousness, and the practitioner explained to me that the only growth is the "growth in grace," of which Mrs. Eddy speaks on page 4 of Science and Health where she says, "What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds."

One day while I was visiting the practitioner, we were studying the answer to the question (ibid., p. 475), "What is man?" and we became so conscious of the Christ, Truth, that at the end of the treatment I walked home treading on air. Soon after arriving home, I was sitting by the fire when I felt the growth burst, It completely drained away, and I was healed, The correct view of man had freed me.
