I write this testimony in the hope that it will help others to feel the power of Truth as I felt it when its healing presence was brought to bear on the results of a serious accident.

About thirty-six years ago, while taking care of some business for my father-in-law, who lived in an eastern city where it sometimes gets very icy underfoot, I was driving a horse and buggy to another part of the city where I had to make a call. Completing my business, I came out and found the horse down on all fours. In my excitement while I was trying to help him to his feet, I stepped in front of him, and in the scramble to get up he struck out with one of his heavily shod hoofs, which landed on the instep of my foot.

I was not conscious of any pain until I was back in the buggy, and then the thought came that I was seriously hurt, for I had just finished a course in chiropody, and my training told me that probably most of the bones in that foot had been crushed. The pain was then very severe, and I was becoming quite faint; however, I had been driving all this time towards my father-in-law's place of business.
