My first contact with Christian Science...

My first contact with Christian Science was not for physical healing, but because of a longing to know more about God. Soon after I started to study, I found that I was completely free from chronic indigestion and constipation and that I no longer needed the remedies I had been taking regularly. I was grateful to be able to discard them all, and since that time—more than twenty-five years ago—I have relied solely on God for healing. I have found joy and happiness such as I had never known before.

About three years after taking up the study of this Science, I married a Christian Scientist. I shall never cease to be grateful for the painless birth of our daughter. The day after her arrival I was up for a while, and the following day I was doing my regular housework and caring for the baby. The birth of a son several years later was also very harmonious.

It is hard to find words to express my gratitude for the care and protection we have had through the years that have followed. Children's diseases have been quickly met, as well as the various problems that arise in bringing up a family. I have seen warts, boils, broken bones, and main other physical difficulties healed through the application of Christian Science. Some of these healings have come as the result of my own efforts, some have been quick and some slow, but each experience has proved to me the unreality of evil and the allness of God, good. Financial needs also have been cared for in a very wonderful way, as we relied wholly upon God for supply.
