An indescribably deep sense of...
An indescribably deep sense of gratitude to God prompts me to testify to the blessings I have received in Christian Science.
Twenty-five years ago I was lying near death in a hospital, For some years I had been having treatment for a lung complaint. After I had recovered somewhat, paralysis set in. The doctors diagnosed tuberculosis of the dorsal vertebrae, and the doctor who took over my case told me that seven vertebrae were suppurating. I was taken to the hospital, where a great quantity of pus was drawn from my body. As I was a trained medical nurse, I knew that healing was impossible from the medical standpoint.
For nine months I went through hell, mentally and physically. In my distress I thought about Christ Jesus and of how he had healed everyone. Then a friend called my mother's attention to Christian Science. She gave her some copies of The Herald of Christian Science (German Edition), supplied her with the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and introduced her to a practitioner.
