A new member writes, "To be a member of The Mother Church had been a long-cherished thought, but the good that it has brought into daily life could never have been truly anticipated or realized." This is an excerpt from but one of many letters of heartfelt gratitude received daily from those whose desire for membership has been fulfilled.

The requirements for membership are set forth in simplicity and dignity in the Manual of The Mother Church. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. Massachusetts, by Mary Baker Eddy. They are not superficial, nor can they be regarded as mere formalities; but to the seeker to whom Christian Science has become a way of life they are fundamental.

One earnestly considering membership should carefully ponder the requirements set forth in the Manual of The Mother Church and fill out the application according to directions. The accompanying questionnaire should also be filled out in every detail. The closing date for the receipt of applications for the next admission of members is October 3, 1949. The admission date is November 4, 1949.
