GOOD DIVINELY NATURAL
Good was natural and normal to Jesus, and it should be so to us. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, tells us in her "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 200): "It was the consummate naturalness of Truth in the mind of Jesus, that made his healing easy and instantaneous. Jesus regarded good as the normal state of man, and evil as the abnormal; holiness, life, and health as the better representatives of God than sin, disease, and death."
The word "consummate" means "carried to the utmost extent or degree; perfect." Then to Jesus, good was entirely natural, with nothing to oppose it. He saw man, the spiritual image and likeness of God, as naturally and normally governed by divine Mind, empowered by Mind, and living to express the qualities of Mind. His consummate realization of these spiritual facts resulted in his unprecedented healing work, his proof of man's present perfection.
