"HITHERTO HATH THE LORD"
"Hitherto
hath the Lord" been,
In the dark night of sense,
A soothing voice above the din.
"Hitherto hath the Lord" helped me to stand
On His promises to man,
Nor falter, nor dismay.
"Hitherto hath the Lord" helped me to pray
And listen, then trustingly pursue
The way revealed to me by Him.
He loves me still!
Oh, this I know is true.
God still is at my side
To comfort, strengthen, guide,
As hitherto.
