Deep gratitude to God prompts...
Deep gratitude to God prompts me to testify to a healing I have been privileged to experience in Christian Science.
In 1913 I was taken to a sanitarium because of a tubercular condition. After ten weeks' treatment I asked the doctor for permission to leave the sanitarium. At first he refused, but after a long discussion I was discharged as improved but not healed.
During the First World War, I was in military service from 1915 until December, 1918. After my discharge I was still suffering not only from the lung trouble, but also from a serious nervous complaint. I was again obliged to consult a doctor, who told me he could do nothing for me except prescribe morphine as a sedative. I took this until my wife and I learned of Christian Science in 1919.
