Healing of tonsillitis by absent treatment

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!" (Rom. 11:33.) Through thirty-seven years I have been blessed by those riches, though at first I found only nuggets on the surface. But even those demonstrated God's healing power.

My first decided turning to God was a remarkable experience. Tonsillitis had reached the acute stage when a Christian Science practitioner was called. I did not see her, but the work was so effective that in thirty-six hours I was entirely free, and I have never had a return of the difficulty, though it had been a semiannual trial for a long time. In the following years catarrhal troubles also disappeared. No specific work was done for these ailments, which had bothered me since early childhood.

Our two sons were protected from fearing or experiencing so-called children's diseases. The knowledge that they were never out of God's protective care was a blessed assurance to me during their war experience. One was a prisoner in the Pacific for over four years. When the other one passed on after the war, I was able to realize the nothingness of death.
